Dictionary Of Slang Used In Different Niches Of Online Promotion

Sometimes when you don't know terminology – it is difficult to understand new business concepts especially when it's concern business using modern technologies like internet.
In these cases I usually use Wiki to make things clear. But for those who wants to know what major terms means I made a brief correspondence dictionary for future reference. But beware it contains some terms which used in both legal and illegal spheres of internet promotion:

AWM (Adult Web Masters) – people who make money mostly by creating adult websites or promoting an existing adult content.
TGP (Thumbnail Gallery Post) - a site with links to galleries. Each gallery in this case has a link or advertisement to promote sponsor's site.
TGP-submitters – is special software used to automatically create thousands of various TGPs.
FHG (Free hosted gallery) - free ready galleries which provided by a sponsor mainly to exchange traffic with somebody. In a different world you have a visitor on your FHG and you send him to another FHG (of your friend) and he sends it further to another new one and so on. So, the user instead clicking once to get what he desires clicking several times which brings more traffic.
Link lists - Roughly speaking it's a TGP, but here links go not to one-page galleries, but sites. They could be pay sites, AVS or free sites. All the links in link lists are sorted according to niches and sub niches.
AVS (Adult Verification System) - is a computing system used by a website to confirm that the user attempting to access their website is of the age required to view the website's content.
Billing System - is a financial organization that performs money transfer from the customer's credit card to the website or service where the customer purchase something (it can be some virtual thing like website membership or a real product)
AdSense – is an ad serving program run by Google. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per thousand impressions basis.
PPC (pay per click) – is advertising technique used on websites, advertising networks and search engines. According to the Kelsey Group, the pay-per-phone-call market is expected to reach US$3.7 billion by 2010.
CPM (cost per Mille) – is the cost of one thousand (1,000) impressions.
Doorway – are web pages that are created for spamdexing
Spamdexing – is spamming the index of search engine by inserting results for particular phrases with the purpose of sending you to a different page.
Affiliate(s) - is composed of a group of merchants and a group of affiliates. Merchants join the network and affiliates join the network in order to advertise the merchant products in exchange of a commission from the merchant.
SEO (search engine optimizer) – is a set of method used to improve the ranking of a website in search engines.
Cloaking – is a search engine optimization in which the content presented to search engines is different from that presented to users.
Link farm – is a group of web pages that all hyperlink to every other page in the group.
Web scarping - is defined as a web crawler that copies content from one or more existing websites in order to generate a scraper site. The result can range from fair use snippets of text to plagiarized content pages solely for the purpose of earning revenue through advertising.
Reciprocal link - is a mutual link between two objects, commonly between two websites in order to ensure mutual traffic.
CTR (Click through rate) - is a common reporting statistic showing how many clicks from unique viewers your ad has received.
Lead - can be anything from an e-mail address for a mailing list to a complete survey that needs to be completely filled out and verified in order to get credit. The requirements to be considered a bona fide lead can vary greatly from program to program. This is a very common method of selling advertising on your website.
