BusinessWeek ranked Ansoft 46th on its annual Hot Growth list of America's 100 fastest-growing small companies. Ansoft's 'top-flight RandD department is working hard to keep the company's growth on a strong upward curve,' writes Arlene Weintraub, science editor for BusinessWeek in New York. Many of the 100 Hot Growth companies 'have carved out niches that no one else was smart enough to spot or quick enough to pounce on,' she writes.
'Together, they're a powerful economic force.' After analysing data from 5,275 public companies, BusinessWeek selected the top 100 finalists whose sales, earnings and return on capital grew the fastest over three years.
Ansoft has averaged 136% growth in annual profits since 2002.
'We're honoured that BusinessWeek included Ansoft in this prestigious list of the most successful small companies in America,' said Nicholas Csendes, Ansoft's president and CEO.
'Our innovative simulation software is the driving force behind the design of many of the world's pre-eminent high-performance electronic products and we look forward to another exciting year of delivering this competitive advantage to our customers and creating value for our shareholders.'
